THE FAMILY OF TWELVE

The "Family of Twelve" was launched in March 2005 as a marketing alliance of New Zealand family winemakers committed to the future of fine wine. The group promotes the quality, individuality and diversity of its wines in the global market, with the ultimate aim of stimulating demand for all New Zealand wine. Like all families it is made up of very distinct individuals. There are the old and the young; the ones with the experience of years and the ones with energies and enthusiasms of youth.

New Zealand wine, today, has found itself on the world stage and that's where it should be. But the Family of Twelve work to put it there by design not accident. To be there because it’s good. Very good. Great. And that is the common thread that binds the members of this family. They admire and strive for perfection, for that 'greatness’. It can be in the conversations; there is a restlessness, a constant looking forward. “If it’s not in the glass, it’s not at the family table” is the watchword.
