Craggy Range in the WLG 'pop-up' - 28/10/2011

Craggy Range is excited to be involved in the WLG pop up restaurant set to take Melbourne by storm from November 15 to 27. Named after Wellington’s airport code, WLG promises Melburnians a unique Kiwi food and wine experience delivered by Wellington’s top chefs and sommeliers - right in the heart of Melbourne’s cultural hub, Fitzroy.

For the first time, the initiative welcomes three Hawke’s Bay wineries including Craggy Range, who will showcase the best the region has to offer alongside a very special menu including tasty tapas-style shared plates created especially for WLG by some of the region’s most sought-after chefs. Food not typically available in Australia is infused with locally sourced produce, including regional cheeses, oils, coffee, meat, seafood and chocolate.

Craggy Range will be presenting the 2009 Gimblett Gravels Merlot – a predominantly Merlot blend from the heart of our Gimblett Gravels Vineyard showing the truest expression of what the site has to offer using this variety. Rich and ripe, the wine is a perfect representation of the red blends Hawke’s Bay is becoming so well known for and a great fit with any New Zealand lamb dish from the chef’s repertoire.
